The Space Between

My favorite Pink Power Ranger, Amy Jo Johnson, needs your help! Amy Jo is working on her first feature film The Space Between and is asking fans for donations! The Space Between is a sequel to her short films BENT (which is unbelievably amazing) and Shooting Blanks. Amy Jo is an extremely talented actress/writer/director/producer and needs our help to reach her goal of $75,000! The Indiegogo campaign has been up for less than a day and it’s already hit $10,000! We can do it!

A quick synopsis of The Space Between courtesy of TBS’s Indiegogo…

When a proud new father learns his wife took his infertility into her own hands with a 19-year old ginger, he sets out on a hilarious and heartfelt journey to find the biological baby-daddy! Filled with a quirky cast of supporting characters, The Space Between is a film about acceptance, family, love… and a few dirty diapers.”

Meet the cast!

Michael Cram – Michael might just be one of my favorite actors. I know him best as Kevin Wordsworth a.k.a. Wordy from the hit series Flashpoint.

Sonya Salomaa – Sonya has had roles on Intruders and The Killing. Next, you can see Sonya on Cedar Cove and Un-Real.

Amy Jo Johnson – Amy Jo started her acting career twenty years ago as the original Pink Ranger (pause for a quick fangirl moment). Amy Jo has starred in several series such as Flashpoint and Felicity.

*And who I’m most excited to see 😉 Sorry Amy Jo!*

David Paetkau – David can soon be seen in The Colossal Failure of the Modern Relationship and Goon 2. David is credited for many television and movie roles including: Dexter, Final Destination 2, Goon, Whistler, Man of Steel, and Sam Braddock in Flashpoint.

That’s right! THREE Flashpoint stars! It’s going to be like a Team One reunion!

Donate today! If you donate certain amounts, you can also receive an awesome perk!

Will You “Marry Me”?

Screen Shot 2014-10-02 at 9.10.30 PM

Well… not me silly! It’s NBC’s new comedy Marry Me! Jake and Annie, played by Casey Wilson of Happy Endings and Ken Marino of Eastbound & Down, fell in love six years ago and have been together ever since. Ready to take the next step in their relationship, Jake plans to propose. Only, THIS is the time Annie decides enough is enough and complains about Jake’s inability to commit. Well… that ruined everything!

The cast of Marry Me also includes Sarah Wright Olsen (you all know my love for the Olsen family J) as Dennah, John Gemberling as Gil, Tymberlee Hill as Kay and Tim Meadows as Kevin 1!

You can check out more hilarious Marry Me videos on their YouTube page here! Don’t forget to watch Marry Me on NBC, premiering October 14th at 9/8c! I have high hopes for this show, it’s hysterical!

Follow the cast on twitter!

CSI: NY Turns 10!

Today marks the 10-year anniversary of CSI: NY. I know I said I was planning to do a countdown leading up to today but I thought it would be better to just do a mass post. Soooo, here it is! I’m going to share with you my favorite memories of CSI: NY. I have so many favorite memories and quotes, most revolving around Danny and Lindsay, that it was extremely hard to narrow them down.

“Today is life. The only life you’re sure of.

Make the most of today.”

-Mac Taylor

*I tried to find the original video with the last scene but I’m using my new computer and none of my saved videos are on this. This video however was made by fellow CSI: NY fan kittycat261 which I think you all will enjoy! Today Is Life

The lost kiss! Those sneaky little writers kept this from us for a VERY long time! But man did they make up for it!

Not What It Looks Like

This was one of my favorite Danny and Lindsay episodes.

Snow Day

The season finale of season 3 is one episode I can watch on repeat all day long. I mean it had epic gunfights, explosions, and of course romance! This was the episode all Danny and Lindsay, Dantana as we used to call them ;), fans have been waiting for. No more built up sexual tension. No more will they, wont they. “Snow Day” is the episode to blame for our love of pool tables. And also, lets be real, the New York Crime Lab is the boss. Who else can get three new labs in 4 years?!

I like to skip over most of season 4. Season 4 was the dark days of CSI: NY. I won’t lie. I almost up and left the show when Danny cheated. I was Team Lindsay that year. But then Danny FINALLY realized that without Lindsay he’s nothing 😉

Cause the truth is…truth is I miss you…

I miss you more than I can say even if, uh,

I don’t know how to say it”

– Danny Messer

First comes love…. Then comes marriage….

Then comes the baby in the baby carriage!

Our lovely Lucy Messer over the years!

We were on the chopping block three times. Not knowing if we’d be back for seasons 8, 9 or 10. The season finales for seasons 7-9 were easily three of the best episodes. The writers did an amazing job leaving each episode as a finale that could go for the series. I tried to find my good copy of ‘Holding On & Letting Go’ but once again… it’s lost on my old computer. But here is the next best thing, courtesy of virginiagirl54 of youtube! I cry every time! Holding On & Letting Go

Can we take a moment of silence…

I didn’t think this would EVER happen. They were just so happy…

I thought it was over for Flack… But then…. FLAVATO!

The season 8 premiere… I have no words for this episode. Being such a sensitive topic for many, I feel the writers, producers, directors, actors and everyone else involved did a wonderful job portraying just a little piece of what happened that horrible day.

Near Death

That time they almost killed Mac….

Season 9 was filled with individual episodes for most characters and I loved them all. However, Adam’s is the one that stuck out to me the most.

The Real McCoy

Adam to me has always been an important character but he rarely had a good story arch. This episode was his time to shine. One, we find out Adam’s not so lonely after all. Finally! He needed a little love that was not Kendall. Two, we to see the more vulnerable side of Adam. I think this was one of AJ’s best performances.

Mac met Christine & she said yes! I’m sorry… I was not the biggest Peyton fan.

But really, the top moment… BABY BOY MESSER!

I’m 98% sure I forgot most of the ones that I wanted to share with you… But there it is. 9 seasons, 197 episodes. 10 years of memories. I get emotional every time I think about CSI: NY. I know it’s a little silly but I’ve been a fan of this show for literally half my life. I’ve made life long friends (Rachel & Danielle), met the cast, visited the sets, I was invested. I know I’ve posted this video before but it is honestly one of the best CSI: NY montage videos I’ve ever seen. Job well done by xnewyorksfinestx! Time Of Our Lives

Jo: “What are you going to miss the most Mac?”

Mac: The people. The team. Danny’s stubbornness,Lindsay’s conviction,

Hawkes’ brain, Flack’s sarcasm, Sid’s quirkiness, Adam’s….Adam,

Your friendship, And your post it notes.

Thank you to all the cast and crew for giving us 10 years of memories.

Premiere Week!

It’s that time again! Premiere week is just around the corner! It’s been a very long hiatus season. I tried to stay away from spoilers but once again I caved. I couldn’t help myself! Since I have so many shows I like to make myself a little schedule to keep track of them all. Unfortunately , a lot of my shows moved time slots and overlap others I would watch.  This is where my schedule really comes in handy!

My schedule is lacking this season but it usually changes once I watch pilots and decide what I think is worth staying with. I highly suggest making one of your own! I love to use TV Guide!

Fall 2014

Things I’m looking forward to this Fall season:

  • NCIS: LA: Deeks & Kensi! I have a feeling it’s going to be a Densi filled season 6! Let’s drop the metaphors and get to the good stuff ! Like making up for the ‘Spoils of War’ deleted scene! & Callen’s love life is looking up! FINALLY! The poor guy deserves it.
  • Chicago PD: Burgess & Ruzek! The season finale had me on the floor! I called Burzek from day one and we finally got it! In a recent interview Paddy says they continue it and I quote “We fight, make up, do things in the bedroom. We fight, make up, do things in the bedroom”. YES!!!!
  • Grey’s Anatomy: It’s baby time! I cannot wait until Baby Avery arrives! I think it’s just what the show needs right now! Jackson and April are my favorite people in the world and I love that Shonda decided to go this route. And it’s just a perk that Sarah Drew is pregnant herself! No fake baby bump!
  • Marry Me: I am a huge Sarah Wright Olsen fan so when I heard she would be on a new show it instantly made it’s way to my must watch list!
  • Chicago Fire: WHO DIES?! I can’t handle a character death so this will be a rough season for me.
  • How To Get Away With Murder: Two words. Viola. Davis. I love that woman! She is pure perfection! And the fact that its a Shonda Rhimes show just guarantees it to be amazing!

Tonight begins my weekly DWTS viewing party with my 82 year-old neighbor! There isn’t really anyone this season that has me screaming “They have it in the bag!” though. I’m crossing my fingers the Pretty Little Liars star does well!

Happy Birthday!

Is this thing on?…

I’m not even sure if anyone is still out there but I’m back! It also happens to be The Jenny Q Review’s 1st birthday! Woohoo! It’s been so long since I’ve stopped by that I just noticed the blog has reached over 8,000 views! Which is amazing since I never thought anyone would be interested in hearing my crazy thoughts about my favorite shows! I want to thank every single one of you for that. It truly means a lot.

A new school year has started, my senior year of college to be exact… which is crazy. I feel so old! My classes don’t seem like they’ll be hard this semester which is wonderful since I’ve made myself a goal to keep up with all my weekly reviews. There are tons of new and returning shows that I’m super excited to have back into my life. It has been a VERY long hiatus! Especially now that Rookie Blue is over for the summer. If you don’t watch this wonderfully created show I highly suggest it. The cast and crew are actually wrapping up filming the rest of Season 5, or Season 6 depending on who you listen to, in October. I’m still holding on that they’ll be back.

Quick little recap…I had an amazing summer. I was super busy with work but I also had the opportunity to intern for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, a.k.a. The New York Emmys Awards. Cool right?! I loved every minute of it!

I think thats all for now. I’ll be back later since my 10 Years of CSI: NY countdown begins today! Just a fun little way to celebrate and reminisce on my favorite memories 🙂

I hope you’ll join me for the ride while I try and bring this blog back to life!

Just Married…In Maui!

Not me! I wish though….

We’ve got a lot to celebrate today! First, today is Rookie Blue actress Missy Peregrym’s birthday! AND While on vacation, for what fans thought was to celebrate her birthday, Missy & Zachary Levi got married! Rumors have been going around that the two were engaged after a picture of Missy from the Shaw Media upfronts showed her with a very sparkly addition to her left ring finger. Fans took to twitter asking if they had something to share, myself included! And they kept us guessing. Until today! Both Missy & Zac took to twitter to make their special announcement!

The lovely couple has been going back and forth on twitter the last week about going on a coffee date. Guess we know what “coffee date” really stands for now! 🙂

Looks like it was a well kept secret!

We can’t wait to see what Missy was wearing! We’ll keep you posted when more pictures are released! But for now, head over to both Missy & Zach’s twitter to share in the celebrations & wish Missy a Happy Birthday!

Carmine Giovinazzo’s TV Return!

Congratulations are in order for CSI: NY vet and my favorite actor Carmine Giovinazzo! He has been casted with a recurring role on the USA show Graceland! Carmine will play Sid Markham, the head of the LAPD’s Gang Task Force. Which I can totally see! That’s such a badass title and Carmine is a total badass. But he will be a smart badass which is even sexier if you ask me.

“More mind than muscle, he uses his intelligence and ability to read people as a way to build relationships and close cases — though that does not preclude the occasional act of violence.” –TVLine

Carmine will be working with season 1 CSI: NY Vanessa Ferlito! Which I’m even more excited about! It’s a Danny and Aiden reunion!

Graceland returns to USA for their second season this summer! Check it out!

The Duke Has Arrived

I know it’s been forever! I’ve been super busy with school lately.

But I come baring good news!

If you don’t already know, I am a diehard Carmine Giovinazzo fan. Have been for 10 years this September. Crazy it’s been this long! Anyway, Carmine’s new movie Duke is now available for order! Carmine fans have been waiting a very long time for this!

Here’s what you can look forward to!

“Duke is a modern day telling of a classic western film. Dare and Roost are brothers who have been raised in a reformatory, taught to survive and conditioned to trust no one. They have moved to West Los Angeles, where Dare moonlights himself as a detective and Roost blankets himself in old John Wayne films and reclusive habit.
Cleaning the streets and ridding the neighborhoods of scum, this contemporary study finds Dare obsessed with a phantom like criminal(Winky), who seems to be terrorizing the community. Simultaneously, the same exact investigation is being lead by official and likely engrossed Detective Robert Morrison. As Dare closes in on Winky and the entire department closes in on them both, these brothers must make the ultimate commitment and pay the extraordinary consequences therein.
Duke stretches beyond the stereotypical vigilante justice picture with it’s measurable heart and honest framing off arrested development, codependency, heroic zeal and poetic justice.” –Duke The Film.

Joining Carmine… Hank Harris, Anthony Gaudioso, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Michael Irby, James Gaudioso,
( A CSI: NY reunion) Vanessa Ferlito, Richard Roundtree, Michael Bowen, Carmen Argenziano, Kelley Flynn, Fredro Starr, Maurice Benard, & Richard Green

The original release date was February 18th but it was impossible to find. First it was said to be at Best Buy, they think I’m crazy “I’m telling you. You’re supposed to have it!”, then it was Sam’s Club, of course there isn’t one close to me. I finally found it on Amazon! Click the link to order your today!!

Serve and Protect

** The following may contain spoilers.

Our favorite coppers of 15 division headed back to work Monday in Toronto to start production of the fifth season of their hit show Rookie Blue. One week down many more to go! A nice surprise for this season is that instead of the usual 13 episodes we’re actually getting 22! How amazing is that?! Now I haven’t seen any official release that the season will be 22 episodes but both cast and production members have verified it. This has many fans a little concerned though. Could this mean the end? I highly doubt that. Rookie Blue is one of Global TV’s top shows and I don’t see them cutting it anytime soon. I think this is a great idea actually! It’s very hard to pack a whole seasons worth of love, drama, and heartbreaks in a short 13 episodes. With 22 I feel like we can expect to see a lot more situations, like Sam and Chloe’s recoveries, full out and not have big time jumps between episodes. Let’s just hope ABC decides to pick up all 22 episodes. I would love to hear your opinions on the possibility of 22 episodes? Are you excited or do you think this is the kiss of death?

(I’m writing this while watching CSI: NY so I apologize for any typos 🙂 )

Here’s some first pictures of the cast during their first week!

Here’s a little piece of Shaw Media’s Press Release for the upcoming season.

“The chilling Season 4 finale saw Sam Swarek and Chloe Price shot in the line of duty and in critical care at Memorial Hospital. But life at 15 Division must go on – the officers have sworn an oath to serve and protect no matter the timing or consequences. As the shell-shocked officers of 15 Division struggle to put the pieces of their lives back together – and as Andy and Sam work to find their way back to each other – Andy is tasked with training a challenging new rookie under the watchful eye of a tough new Inspector. And while the officers will have to learn that life doesn’t always have a fairy-tale ending that certainly doesn’t mean there’s no happily ever after.”

This is my favorite part of the PR because it points directly towards McSwarek. FINALLY! I just wish for once we can have a full season or two where Sam and Andy are together and happy. As we already know, McSwarek is endgame. I would like to start seeing them heading in that direction. I think we left off at the end of season 4 with a giant step forward. Make sure to check out my review from last seasons finale You Can See The Stars.

I’m even more excited at the possibility of Andy becoming a TO. She was taught by the best and I just know she’ll be awesome!

I’d like to welcome Oliver Becker and Matt Murray to the cast as well! I can’t wait to see what they bring to the show!

You can check out the entire press release here.

Now don’t panic! If you did happen to read the entire PR you’ll notice both Ben Bass and Lyriq Bent’s names are not on the list of returning cast members. Ben Bass is in fact returning but nothing can be confirmed about Lyriq. Lyriq plays Frank Best 15 divisions Staff Sargent. I’m 99.999999% sure he is returning and it could be a typo. Also, Rachael is on the list and she has confirmed that she will be back playing Marlo Cruz. Probably not as a series regular. I think she’s returning to tie up the loose ends of the Marlo/Ford and Marlo/Sam situations.

The season premiere is titled “Blink” and will probably be back end of May/ beginning of June.

Let the countdown to the new season begin! I hope you stick around for the wait! It will be worth it!
